	Yazd is an important desert town with original architecture, home of the Zoroastrian religion espoused by the Achaemanian kings The Friday Mosque - an outstanding 14th century edifice Towers of Silence - the town’s atmospheric burial ground Ateshkade - the Fire Temple; a Zoroastrian temple with an eternal flame said to have burned for more than 1500 years.
